i’m glad you were unharmed. i know that it was.. ahem, sudden, dragging you into our affairs. but everyone involved was under the assumption that you’d help us out. you are the honorary knight, after all. although.. i suppose an assumption was bold on our part. it must have been the last thing you wanted to do, involving yourself in affairs when you probably wanted a break. ..my apologies. if there’s any way any of us can make it up to you, come to me. i’d be glad to compensate you for all you’ve done for us. truly. ( albedo’s voice may not have held more emotion than the typical human would, but he did really feel grateful for lumine’s help. after everything she’d been through, she’d still been willing to step up and assist them in doing what was needed to win. he truly respected her for it, although that wasn’t directly voiced aloud. )

we would never do that to you. we know your main goal.. and if that conflicts, we would choose not to bother you. /i/ would choose not to bother you. ( albedo shook his head. ) you say that.. but i know you must miss your brother. we are only a temporary home, lest you choose to actually stay with him.
            
            ( .. ) this was one circumstance — and hopefully it will never have to happen again. even if you say you don’t need compensation, i want to repay you for all the help you’ve provided. especially because we did leave you out of the dark. all of your reactions had to be.. natural, i suppose. it wouldn’t have worked unless you almost believed i’d actually taken someone’s life- which.. i can assure you again, i didn’t. ( despite how many times he’d said it before, albedo knew that after everything, it would take time for mondstadt to return back to normal — slowly, but surely. )
            
            me? that connection is useful for few things. besides.. i don’t contact them outside of serious situations often. i tolerate their tricks at best, only when i must.

(   lumine shot him a gentle smile,   placing a hand on his shoulder.   )   i don't need compensation.   i'm willing to help always.   don't be silly.   you guys always come first.   i don't think it was /just/ me.   your connection with the hexenzirkel certainly helped.
