No way I wrote this for a YouTube shorts comment...
Shinobu, Obanai, and Zenitsu are my favorite characters and I love looking into them as well. The things I like most about them is their growth, personlity, personal struggles, and backstory. These things make them who they are as a character. One thing the fandom loves doing is watering down their character because of their complexity. They make Shinobu a jerk that bullies Giyu, Obanai obsessed with Mitsuri and no one can breathe around her, and Zenitsu annoying and stupid. Shinobu's whole character is about how she handles her anger and moves. She obsesses over getting stronger and better at being a demon slayer. She is slowly dying because of her poison, and she still chooses to do so because she seeks revenge. She is angry and can barely handle any mistake she makes. Obanai was in a cult as a child. He's still traumatized, and we can tell by the fact he starves himself and wears his mask. He doesn’t get with Mitsuri because he's too shy and scared, but because he thinks he is too impure for her. He doesn't like demons because of his trauma, this is why he doesn’t like Tanjiro. Tanjiro is keeping Nezuko safe even though she is a demon. Because of this, he doesn't want him near Mitsuri. He thinks demons are impure. Anyways, back with him starving himself. He does so because he is so angry with himself. Because he is so disappointed that he was associated with demons. He thinks of the last few words from his sister. Since he thinks that his escape killed his family, he calls himself a murder. He can never forgive himself until his next life. Also, he is scared of most women because of his childhood. I admire how far he has come. He is able to talk to Shinobu and Mitsuri just fine, and that shows growth.

Finally, Zenitsu has issues, but he has a reason. As a child, he was abandoned and no one was able to teach him what is appropriate. He was used, cheated on, and groomed by seven older women who he called his girlfriend. He was ten through thirteen, by the way. Because of this, he seeks attention from literally anyone he can find. He feels lonely. But this is not an excuse for his actions, I know that. As the series goes on, we can see his growth. He stops trying and pleading for attention from women. Lastly, he hates himself more than anyone else. Not Kaigaku, not any demons, not his ex girlfriends. Himself. He says this because of his incompetence, dependency, struggles, and problems. He hates himself because his self esteem is low. Growing up he was mistreated and bullied for being weak. This has affected his mind by a landslide. He compares himself to people all of the time, he was willing to die, and his mindset is always set to "I'm weak." We can see more growth because he used to cower away in fear. Now, he is better about fighting and putting himself out there. These three characters are most likely depressed.
