Who has read Enid Blyton? Her wonderful fantasy stories (The Wishing Chair and The Faraway Tree series) are the reason I got into reading fantasy. When I was old enough, I devoured The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. After that, I read pretty much any fantasy I could get my hands on. Robert Jordon, David Eddings, Terry Brooks and David Gemmell were some of my favourite authors.
I started writing soon after I left school. It's been a slow process but my writing has gone from horrible to almost passable (I like to think). I enjoy writing fantasy that appeals to both children and adults - crossover novels.
In other news, I'm a thirty-something married freelance web developer with a beautiful one-year-old daughter.
If anyone makes it to the end of this bio, thanks for taking the time to read it. =)
