So I just read a fanfic where one character is about to get killed by another character and he tells him to shoot him in the heart because it's "where I hold you dearest" and then I remembered that the guy killing him canonically dead.  Good times. 

Do any of y'all project characters you like onto your own characters because I'm currently doing it.

Lemme get this straight.  When I write fanfic, 11 people are interested, but when I do stuff with my own characters, I only get 3 views? Dayum.
