@Za145pr I could think that they most likely create somebody that would be able to go toe the toe with him and Grant this individual immortality and a godlike regeneration / healing Factor so that he can stand a chance against Onaga in a fight and gave him a weapon that could absorbing his strength from every strike he land on his body to weaken him long enough for them to subdue him and sealed him away in a impenetrable container with bunch of seals, spells, talismans, and runes and such to try to keep him weakened and banish him into a realm of no return or a cut-off dimension where there's no hope of him ever escaping from like a universal version of Taurus that can in prison God like and primordial beings from ever escaping

What will the Elder gods do now that Shao Kahn is dead and Onaga's immortal and has a child?

@Za145pr I think the Elder Gods will try to conquer Out World by having some of Shao Kahn forces joining them due to promises of power, immortality, woman, men, children, control of other realms, and any other desire they want as long as they serve them unquestionally and loyal to the Elder gods. 
            
            They will most likely steal the child and try to turn the child against Onaga as a weapon or kill the child so it doesn't become a threat to them later on in the future
