GUYS, I JUST PUBLISHED A VERY LONG ONE-SHOT CALLED “THE MAGIC INGREDIENT” 🪄🍲🌧️

It’s a random little idea I had and I really wanted to write a properly long one-shot instead of turning it into a short book, so here we are. It’s a whimsical, cozy rom-com with monsoon vibes, an old family recipe, a little bit of magic, accidental summoning, cooking chaos, and a very unexpected person showing up in the middle of it all.

It’s honestly such a different kind of story from what I usually write, and I had SO much fun putting it together. If you get the chance, please give it a read and let me know what you think! I’d genuinely love to hear your reviews, favourite parts, thoughts on Nora and Elian, and whether you enjoyed the whole random magical situation.

Alsooooo, I’ve been seeing so many people using emojis on convo boards lately, so I guess WE CAN USE EMOJIS HERE NOW??? 😭😭😭 HURRAAYYY. I have been waiting for this moment.

Anyway, if you read The Magic Ingredient, please come back and tell me what you thought. It would mean a lot!

finally, i can finally say this — i completed a whole book.

delayed to meet you may be a short story, but it means so much to me because this is the first time i've actually written a book from the very first chapter all the way to the last one. and honestly, seeing that little “completed” moment feels unreal.

i'm so, so happy and proud of myself right now. this story has been such a tiny little journey, and i'm just grateful i got to see it through till the end.

here's to the first completed book, and hopefully many, many more to come. <3

thank you to everyone who has read, supported, encouraged, or simply been here while i write. it means more than you know.

delayed to meet you — completed. finally.

hey @Sweettooth_Girl i hope you're doing well and everything's been going great for you.

i've actually been trying to message you for the past few days, but for some reason my messages just weren't going through.

i just wanted to let you know that i've put frames of you and i on hold for the time being due to some personal reasons. i thought it was only fair to inform you. if you'd like to know why, please check the "help" section in the content of frames of you and i, where i've explained everything.

apart from that, i've recently published a new early-2000s rom-com, and i'll be updating it regularly, although not necessarily every day. i've also published my short airport rom-com, delayed to meet you, and half of it is already completed. i'll be posting the remaining half tomorrow!

i'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts on them whenever you have some free time. your reviews and feedback always mean a lot to me, so i'd really appreciate it if you get the chance to check them out.

thank you so much for your constant support. it truly means more than you know!

@omahazeeya omgggg thank you so much for the follow too!! and i’m so happy i finally got to tell you this because i’ve been meaning to for so long. i read google way back during the covid days and i genuinely loved it so much. it’s still one of those light, comforting reads that i can think about and instantly feel nostalgic. it really stayed with me even after all these years. thank you so much for writing such a beautiful story and for inspiring me as a reader and a writer too. i’m genuinely so glad i got to discover your work back then and still get to read it now. <3

@Uditasree hey! i just wanted to say i'm so sorry, i completely forgot to follow your account from my author account.

also, i first read shaadi way back during the covid lockdown days, and i'm still not over it. it's one of those books that instantly brings back so much nostalgia whenever i think about it. i absolutely loved it then, and i still do. it truly left a lasting impression on me.

What's up, vriti? I noticed updates for ‘Frames of You & I’ have been paused.. hoping all's good?

hajarkagalwa

Ofcourse vriti.. I appreciate that you've chosen to write in a genre that's not mainstream on wp and also new to you. Even when this topic is taken up on wp, it's usually a subplot in a romance. So i love that you've taken it up. I'll definitely read it❤️

@hajarkagalwa Hey Gajar!

I was actually thinking about something before posting the new story I told you about earlier.

I've decided to upload it today instead. It's a short story, so I'll probably be posting around 2–3 chapters each day, and if everything goes as planned, it should be completed within a week.

It's quite different from the romance stories I usually write. This one revolves around the idea of dowry and the things people silently inherit in the name of marriage. It's an emotional social drama that explores family, traditions, and the weight of expectations, but I won't say anything more because I don't want to spoil it.

I'm a little nervous since it's a different genre for me, but I'm also really excited to finally share it. I hope you'll give it a read whenever you get the time. I'd genuinely love to know what you think once it's out.

I don't know how many people will read this since I don't have a huge readership yet, but for those who are reading my story, I wanted to give a quick update.

I know I said I would be updating daily because the chapters are already written, and I genuinely intended to stick to that. However, today has been exhausting. I had back-to-back classes from 7 AM to 4 PM, followed by more classes from 6 PM to 8 PM. At this point, I barely have any energy left to even go through the chapters, proofread them again, add author's notes, and prepare them properly for publishing.

To be honest, I'm extremely tired and am probably going to sleep right away, even skipping dinner.

Tomorrow will be the last day of this hectic schedule. After that, things should be a little more manageable. I promise I'll make it up to you. The day after tomorrow, I'll update 4–5 chapters together so those of you who enjoy binge-reading can have a better reading experience.

Thank you for your patience and for giving my story a chance. I truly appreciate every read, vote, and comment.

          See you soon.
