So I’m black and everybody always says that black people don’t need sunscreen, even black people, even me. That is a lie, everybody can get skin cancer, but most people believe that black people don’t burn. I believe that there is a point in the concentration of melanin that keeps you from burning. I also believed that I had that concentration of melanin. Turns out I don’t, guess who burnt her nose at the beach?

When everyone’s been telling you that you need to lose weight, but you wake up skinny one day without and work. Turns out, I was bloated enough to have a baby bump. For the first time in like a year, I can see the abs that I knew I had.
