Your book is really good, I love the writing and the way you egg on things. But I do feel as though your story could be less metaphoric? I feel like less is way more, you should consider less metaphors and it’ll make reading it a bit easier and it’ll give you that exaggerated tone you’re looking for. Less metaphors and more details. Everyone’s writing is different !! It just seems like your writing is more poetic if anything and if that’s what you’re going for then it’s great..! But if you want to be more story telling in 3rd person definitely less metaphors.
