just had an idea for an original or maybe even an applyfic where a future society or generation is in danger and so a small group creates a time machine and send one or two teens back to the past to try to fix some of the damage. but the twist is that the time machine has like anywhere from 5 to 9 spots for people to be transported to this time period to fix stuff right? and when the two teens from that one specific time are sent back, something ripples across the timeline because they’re supposed to pop out in the same place the machine was built. so like as this machine goes back it picks up other people and takes them back and then there’s a larger group that is dumped in the past. and the only way that they can go back is if they fix the world well enough for the chain reaction of this machine to start sending them back.
          
          but an even bigger twist - any of these teens can “disappear” and be sent back to the time they came from at any time. it all just depends on what changes in the world depending on how close they are to the current time!?

THORNS OF A ROSE:
          
          favorite couple? Rose and Alexi. because this pair are complete opposites and absolute messes that are trying to make each other a little bit better. because they’re adults in their late-twenties who are still figuring things out about the world and themselves. because he cries and he’s soft and she’s scared and dependent. because she’s brilliant and he loves it and he wants to follow new paths and she’s so proud of him for it. because they go through such a long road to even a point of “being together” and then they’re still growing as a couple and as people.
          
          but cutest couple? Arin and Zu. Arin’s a cottage-core, multi-phd doctor, lesbian scientist who works for the most notorious “underground” villain currently known by the “heroes”. and Zu’s a grunge, dark-academia lesbian, hardcore villain with blue hair and blood on her hands who ends up making a lot of mistakes throughout the series. but them together? it’s like freaking fire and ice, the sun and the moon, chaos and peace. they’re both smart in different ways and even if Arin seems a little innocent Zu just about passes out because d*mm does this girl know how to make her blush. 

I just think that the reason that Thorns of a Rose is so important to me is because in this world of heroes and villains everyone has this idea of what the world is and who everyone around them is but as the book and the series continues? it becomes this complex idea of a what the world could be and what people are hiding. there is an insane amount of heroes and villains and people in between and the lore of the world has just been so much fun to create and I’m so excited to get back to prepping and writing it again
          
          cause you know, the sun has to set before the light shines again
