Two headcanons: 
          
          1. In the black widow movie Yelana constantly threw shade at Riley because she is jealous of Riley's bond with Nat 
          
          2. In the marvels movie (if you decide to include Riley) she is extremely protective of Kamala, and that protectiveness is the reason why Kamala's parents trust Riley...also Riley speaks Hindi /Urdu (this language bridge ads an extra layer of trust (because that's what we desi people xo (especially if we live aboard away from our country, we hear someone speaks our language and almost instantly a community is established)
