when i said i had no words, i was wrong. i just needed to find them. 
          
          i spent most of the day yesterday crying, something i am not ashamed to admit. i’m not even american and i wept. i cried for every woman, every POC and every member of the lgbtq+ community who are now at risk of genuine harm and loss of their rights with that fuck in charge. this decision will benefit the rich white cis straight men first and foremost and shove the rest of the population aside. 
          
          this is a man with TWENTY SIX allegations of SA against him. 26. a convicted felon and a rapist who spreads homophobia, racism and misogyny for fun. it is truly bewildering to me that anyone could hear the shit he said and still vote for him. 
          
          i saw a post yesterday that stated “no matter what happens, live.” i urge you all to do so. compliment a stranger and smile at the moon. keep learning new things and find beauty in nature and be kind to others. be your truest form of self and laugh with your friends and love who you love because you are not doing anything wrong when you are just existing. no matter how hard they yell, block that shit out. if they refuse to change their hateful mindsets, that’s on them, not you. 
          
          you are allowed to be disappointed by this result, but i promise you this is not the end. he may have been elected this time around but they have not won.
          
          to any of my american friends, stay safe. my ig dms are open if you need to scream and yell and cry at any time. in fact, to any friends from anywhere around the world who are scared and angry and want to do the exact same thing, i will scream, yell and cry with you.
