          the mc valerie struggled with psychological and substance abuse problems in the past but has recovered since. but old habits die hard when people and problems from the past arise, especially people who seem to grab the attention of elena, her bestfriend.
          
          valerie struggles to find control in the chaos and falls back into her old habits, which will cause many problems. lots of drama & angst in this story!!
