Greetings,
I started writing stories back in middle school, stapling the pages together and passing them around class for everyone to read. I wrote my first novel in high school.
My philosophy for writing is simple:
1. Write as much as you can.
2. Read as much as you can.
There is no such thing as "writer's block", only "writer's doubt". Above all, have confidence. Write what you believe in, what makes you strong. Write the book you'd grab off the bookstore shelf and rush home to read. Fall in love with your own story.
(this is all lovingly cobbled together from great advice I've read and heard from my favorite authors)
Some of my favorite authors and inspirations are:
Charles Dickens, Dan Simmons, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Richard Matheson, Dean Koontz, David Eddings, Madeleine L'Engle, Clifford D. Simak, J. R. R. Tolkien, Robert Holdstock, H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Robert R. McCammon, Ray Bradbury, Lloyd Alexander, James M. Barrie and C. S. Lewis
I'm sure there are more, but those come to mind right now.
I also love audiobooks, especially listening to an old favorite read by an incredible narrator.
If you enjoy my stories, don't forget to VOTE! =)
My current project is editing and re-releasing (here on Wattpad) my first two novels (along with a novella, "My Forgotten Life") and completing the series with a final book, Yesterday and Tomorrow.
