Hi everyone! I know I only have 14 followers and I’m not sure if all of you are still active, but I want to use this opportunity to raise awareness of what is happening in my country. We’ve been visited by almost 4 typhoons every week since 3rd week of October and this week, it has affected thousands of my fellow Filipinos. If you’ve heard, just last weekend we were visited by the strongest typhoon this year and just this Wednesday, we had another one which was a very big one and no one expected its impact. We are dealing with a clear incompetence of our government, and they are literally gaslighting us, especially our President. The Local Government Units has no budget to supply the victims because they cut the National Calamity Fund to Php 4 billion. Since the pandemic started, they’ve always claimed that they have no budget when they clearly just loaned money from Foreign creditors and when we could clearly see that they’ve been investing more money on military than on health and calamity funds.
I’m so sorry for the long post, I am so mad rn and I couldn’t sleep because it doesn’t feel right when I know that there are Filipinos out there trying to stay alive on there roof and crying their voice out to be rescued.
