Shubman Gill is now the ODI captain of the Indian cricket team—congratulations to him! Shreyas Iyer has been named vice-captain—congratulations to him too. Shubman will have time to learn under Rohit bhai, just like Virat bhai did under Mahi bhai.
This makes me realise that Rohit’s captaincy is ending soon, and 2027 is getting closer. Retirement is near, and I’m not ready for it. What do you mean there’s no time left? My childhood feels like it’s ending—my heroes are retiring, and I don’t want to believe it’s real.
I need my time machine for real...
