          Hello everyone!!!  It's been a minute. I just wanted to check in and give you all some exciting news!!
          
          Rest Easy is going to be published by Wattpad Books in the Fall of this year!!!!!!!!!!! 
          
          I'm still pinching myself!!! I'd just like to thank anyone and everyone who engaged with this story and all the invaluable feedback I've gotten over the years. I've just spent the last 2 months (and I'm not done yet) rewriting/editing the  draft that's published; not only will the published version be new and improved, it will also be 20,000 words longer, with more scenes and more characters!!! 
          
          I don't want to give too much away, but all I can say now is that revisiting this book three years later with external help and feedback has elevated it to a higher level and I can't wait to share the final product with you guys. Keep your eyes peeled, and Happy Black History Month everyone! <3

DRAFTS TAKEN DOWN! (+ Rest Easy Sequel/Extras?)
          
          Hey guys! I've been in a bit of a writing rut recently, and though I was initially working on new material that I thought I'd be able to publish as I went along, I've decided my best bet is to try pushing through a final first draft before deciding whether to upload or not. So I've currently drafted I Beg, You Choose, Social Animals and A Very Close Friend, all of which I'l be working on behind the scenes. Sometimes my perfectionism, coupled with my temporary bouts of motivation and my tendency to procrastinate gets the worst of me! But I can assure you I'm constantly working on new material and perfecting whatever I already have out there. Seeming as Jennifer Two and Rest Easy are the only completed drafts that I am satisfied with, I thought I'd not declutter my profile page and let them shine a little. 
          I've seen a lot of readers interested in a sequel/extra or some sort of short for Rest Easy, and I can assure you it's constantly on my mind! All I have to say in that regard is stay tuned! 
          
          Also, if anyone is interested, I'm much more active on instagram, so you can follow me @waronawrites if you want any book recommendations. I will also be using it for my own work updates so it's a good shout to follow it!

HAPPY NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH!! 
          
          Hey guys! I just wanted to pop in and say hello to any new followers and readers, I see you all! Anyone who has read Rest Easy will know that one of the protagonists is Native American, and this month happens to be Native American Heritage month! I want to raise a little bit of awareness, as I'm sure not a lot of people know this. I'm not American, and I'm definitely not indigenous, so I will instead be linking some indigenous instagrammers websites that help raise more awareness of native/Navajo culture!

          I think sometimes, especially with the rife political climate in the US, we can forget about the people who have been in the US way longer than the hegemonic coloniser population that currently rules over it. It's important to pay heed to these people, in which most of the states names what we know of come from original native tribal languages, for example. The Native population has been just as disenfranchised by society and the Navajo Nation was one of the most hard-hit covid areas. So please go and do some research and find some inspiration in such a vibrant and beautiful American cultural heritage that is often times constantly erased!

          I’m grateful that Rest Easy has hit 220k reads and is now on the editor’s list for November! I still remember daydreaming the plot for this story exactly three years ago on my year abroad. I never imagined that nearly a quarter of a million people would have clicked on the story!! I’m super grateful! I just thought I’d let you know that a sequel to R.E. is in the works and should be live at some point in 2021! Not sure when, but we’ll see!! So for every bit of engagement and love this story gets, the more I want to honour it and flesh out its universe! Thanks again guys!! ❤️
