I just found an old story I wrote for high school all the back in 2016 the assignment was to rewrite a fairytale with issues pertaining to race religion and sexuality and whatever else those were just what I picked.
I chose Cinderella after the happily ever after. In it she meets an Indian man named party who was deceived by the king and lives in squalor working for the castle. Even though he’s a doctor he can’t get a job in France because of his ethnicity. Cinderella confides in him and is introduced to him friend yumi who helps start a movement for women to be allowed to divorce in France. Eventually the prince agrees and they divorce. Party then marries Cinderella and their next cause are lgbt issues. I’m going to post it tomorrow! I can also post proof that I wrote it 4 years ago too lol
