Forbidden Fruit
She hangs from the branch in glorious display,
Bold and radiant, vain within her bloom.
Unlike the rest, she tempts the light of day,
And draws the wandering soul toward his doom.
Just one taste is how it always begins,
Soon hunger grows and knows no end.
Lust and Gluttony become his sins,
And the Angel from his heaven descends.
Yet in his hand he holds her ever near,
The fruit he keeps though grace is long since gone.
No regret remains for what has brought him here,
He chose the fall and proudly continues on.
She is the forbidden fruit he chose to devour;
Her sweetness lingers, refusing to sour.

Thank you, love. I think my pen struggles enough in the poetry realm. I shall not attempt to break it by entering the song lyric realm. I however… do appreciate your biased compliment.

@watcherofash you are truly so damn talented, my lord. Jack of All Trades in the literary realm for sure. Will you be regaling us with song lyrics next?
