A little announcement because apparently I have to say this for the 101st time.
For the past two years, I’ve repeatedly seen people asking whether I’m going to write gay relationships into my stories, especially in Red Card Romance/ Extra Time, or interpreting the friendships between my male characters as romantic.
So let me make this very clear: no.
I respect LGBTQ+ people completely, but that is simply not the kind of romance I intend to write in my stories. My stories have their own couples, dynamics, and direction, and I’m not interested in changing that because people keep asking, it’s really fucked up and delusional.
And please, stop turning every close friendship between two guys into a romance. Men can be best friends, care deeply about each other, protect each other, argue, have history, and be emotionally close without being romantically involved. Friendship is not automatically a love story.
You’re absolutely free to read and write whatever you enjoy, but please respect the fact that this is not what I write or intend to write. I’ve explained this many, many times already, and I really don’t want to keep repeating myself. So please stop asking if two men, who ABSOLUTELY have no intentions but being FRIENDS, to be in a relationship when there is no freaking context or meaning of them being together.
