Reflection of 2025
1 – Appreciate everything in front of you
Leaving your home country is never easy—you’re far from family and friends, and the ups and downs are real. I’ve always dreamed of going overseas in my 20s, and Allah answered that dream. It was exciting and fun, but there were moments of burnout and homesickness. During those times, you just wish your comfort person was right there next to you.
2 – Discover your comfort
I started exploring hobbies to keep myself entertained and mentally healthy. After a long week, simple, fun, and affordable activities bring me joy. Personally, I love low-energy things like journaling or binge-watching series. Socialising can be draining for me, but I also enjoy doing sports occasionally. I’ve learned that it’s perfectly okay to enjoy being alone .
3 – Accept your mistakes
I had some tension with a friend who confronted me about an issue. At first, I was offended, but I realised she had a point. I apologised and made a conscious effort to reach out more, even though it’s sometimes hard. Thankfully, we’re now back on good terms.
