i'm at a babysitting gig for the next two-ish weeks and spent the last week prepping for it, so i apologize for the lack of updates, if there were any. i have things ready to go; i just haven't... you know, put them up here. this requires a little more work on my end than uploading to ao3 does; but if you want to read on, i do have a lot more up there. if not, if you want to stick to here, then by all means! 
          
          GOD, i miss just writing out of my ass and fingers at any sort of whim. i have GOT to write a shitty novelette or something

i HATED finishing The Wizard's Tower, but it's mostly because im hungry and full of cramps, so. yay!! it's done!! gay boy origins etc. 
          
          listen, the Tower is an important set piece in basically everything going forward, as is the concept of a semi-sentient pocket dimension aligning its temperament with the person who "wields" it. so it's necessary to have out there, as is the origin of "Boy Benson." and now it's done!

almost being done with The Wizard's Tower means i need to figure out what to do with pp3 because that's concurrent but i never finished drafting it. i could just skip over what happened or like... write it... but who wants to write? apparently not me

one more chapter. one more!!

we're getting to the point in Nothing But Bones where things get far gorier and far more violent than before, with much of it surrounding Tiff; i wanted to say something publicly in case any if you are reading that. the violence is slightly gendered, but that's because of both Boris Covington's proclivities and Tiff being a woman, so, in conclusion, that is something to be aware of from the middle of Chapter 26 (?) onward

anyway, i told my therapist i would give myself until the END OF JUNE to finish editing Nothing But Bones and then i would move on; so im holding myself to that. crunch time on a self-imposed deadline is doable.

i feel like this newer replacement of categories with story type doesn't really accomplish like... being inclusive of everything encapsulated within a given genre. technically im writing speculative fiction; and the zombies im writing aren't *science fiction* zombies, but they're not not that; and there's less space exploration than exploring the planes of existence within the story's canonical cosmological makeup; so like... idk. it's not going to fit into any of those categories neatly but i can't publish it unless i choose one. kinda sucks.

hey, guys! i am so, so bad at being active on here; i literally changed my username here so I'd remember that i need to update this at a similar rate to the tumblr of the same username and then Forgot. im still writing and all! i have some sneak peeks over there if anyone is curious. 
          
          sorry for not being super engaged on here. adult life has taken up a lot more of my time than i thought it would.

i'll be posting some updated chapters of Nothing But Bones so i can finally move on from it, haha. i've been re-editing it since i took my break from here and i just want it to be DONE!!!!
