char

I believe a small break from my story 'Chains' is needed, i'm not sure for how long yet. My ideas are from zero to none as of right now, and whenever I go to write a chapter it just doesn't happen. However, I am actually writing another fic right now. It's called You Found Me, and it is actually on the account @bates-stories which is shared between me and a friend of mine. It's a joint fic, so the layout is different to how a usual fic might be. (I tackle Norma's character, and he does Alex's parts) We're not too sure on it yet, so do let us know if it works for you and just leave any feedback in general - this is my friend's first attempt at fanfiction so a warm welcome with some encouraging comments and praise would be really lovely :)

So one of my best friends Jazz @jazz_tia_owens writes a Bates fanfic, and needs more Bates people to go read it. Her main fanfic is one based on The Vampire Diaries, so her followers are from that fandom.
          
          But her Bates story is caller 'The Family I Never Had' with an OC called Nina as the main character, who comes to work at the motel and develops different kinds of relationships with each of the canon characters in Bates Motel - beginning to become her sort of family, hence the title... The story is mainly made up of her own (brilliant) storylines/ideas, but she will also be adding some from the show - as well as other relationships (*cough cough* who do I base all my fanfics off who we all know and love? *cough cough*) other than the main ship involved (Nina/Dylan) 
          
          The two of us literally have fanfic brainstorms in college - if that isn't friendship goals, I don't know what is. Anyway, in those brainstorms, she has seriously helped me recover from a huge majority of my writers block moments. So to thank her for her behind the scenes genius in my fanfic, you all should go appreciate her genius in her OWN fanfic. Okay? Okay.

Update: I am no longer deleting Chains and am currently working on Chapter 7. Should be up tomorrow since i'm half way through now, but it's 2am to I kinda want to get off to sleep haha. Sorry for any inconvenience of the little blip of me thinking of stopping with it. It was just a problem with lack of ideas/originality, but I think i'm just going to stick with it and roll with whatever comes to me and hope you all like it. 

Regarding my fanfic, 'Chains', although I have received lots and lots of lovely comments on it, which really have made me happy, I think I may be stopping with it and deleting it. Most of the compliments i've had on it have been regarding the improvement of my writing skills, which is much appreciated and will obviously be incorporated into any other new fanfics/one-shots I write anyway. But yeah, I still haven't quite decided yet. If I start a different fanfic, I will probably start it from a different point...since there are so many fics based off 3x10 with the same sort of storylines so i'm lacking originality with Chains at the moment. 
          
          Obviously I want to write what people enjoy, so if any of you have any episodes you'd like me to stem a fic/one-shot from...let me know which. And/or you can send me a prompt on here or my tumblr (nxrmabaes.tumblr.com *cheeky wink*) of a specific scenario you'd like to see written, and i'll see what I can do. I will of course credit you for it being your idea :)

I apologise for not posting the second part of Christmas at the Bates Motel. I had and still do have ideas for it, but for some reason i've found writing it all together really difficult and i've also been busy with family things of course. So, even though obviously it will be late, I will still try and get it done and posted within the next few days if you guys want it/don't mind it being late. I feel like posting a Christmas one-shot after Christmas has passed really isn't too great and/or is a little pointless, so I may not even do it...i'm not sure.

Chapter 24 is up. It's very long, so I apologise if you dislike long chapters! I also apologise if it isn't very good. I'm quite busy at the moment attempting to read books I need to read for my English course in college (which might potentially improve my writing skills actually, so that would benefit you guys...haha!) which is why my updates have been quite far apart. Chapter 25 is already half written so /hopefully/ it shouldn't take too long. The last chapter! Dun dun dunnn! Sad times :(  I have more Normero fics and one shots coming your way soon though so you can't get rid of me that easily, aha!

For people asking, New Beginnings is going up to Chapter 25 and then that's it. I will probably be making another one to follow it, whether it'll be called New Beginnings Part 2 or there will be a whole other name for it...i'm not sure. But I have a feeling i'll write little ones in between, you know short one shots or stories based at different points in Bates or whatever. I haven't decided yet :)  But I do have a separate Bates/Normero fanfic already half written, it's sort of AUish I suppose. Whether i'll go ahead with that, i'm not so sure yet.
