Hello all, it's been quite some time since l've come on here. Life has had its ups and downs. I have not written in quite some time so my skills have gotten rusty.

Still, I would like a chance to connect with you all again. If any of you has the Medium app, you can find me on there. From yours, truly.

@whippednation This might be unexpected, but if it’s possible to find the old cover of Almost Home, the one with 'floating hot-air balloons' in the background - I’d really appreciate it.
It’s been a long time since I last read the story, and I remember crying a lot, but the cover itself felt very comforting.

I genuinely don't know how to explain what reading Almost Home did to me. I first read it back in 2020, and even after all these years, it still remains one of my favorite books on Wattpad.

I went into it expecting a beautiful, adventurous story and somehow ended up getting so emotionally attached to these characters that the ending completely broke me. There was something so comforting about reading Haru and Jungkook's journey, and I found myself smiling at their little moments like I was right there with them. But knowing there was this quiet sadness underneath everything made every happy scene feel so much more precious.

And that ending… I was NOT prepared. The park scene absolutely broke me. I literally cried while reading it. I had to stop for a moment because I just couldn't process what was happening. And then the wedding scene somehow managed to hurt even more, especially that final moment with Jungkook. I was crying all over again.

I think what stayed with me most is how deeply this story made me feel. I laughed, got attached, felt hopeful, and then had my heart completely ripped out. Almost Home is one of those stories that doesn't really end when you finish the last page. You just sit there for a while, thinking about everything you read and feeling a little empty because you have to leave those characters behind.

And honestly, so much appreciation for you Author-nim for creating something that has stayed with me for this long. Not many stories I read years ago still make me feel this strongly. Almost Home really is one of those special stories I'll always remember. ❤️

Hello! I know, it's late, but I just really wanna tell you how inspired, appreciative, and moved I am by your storytelling in Almost Home, the very first work that I read from you.

The book caught my eye for it's previous book cover, the one with the floating hot air balloons, with the sunset as it's background, as if it's headed there. Their final destination. Their home. An instant click to add to my library. If I only looked at that cover, I would've thought that it was a romance-adventure story, with some magic powers here and there, all leading up to a happy ending. That's when I noticed the title. Almost Home. The word "almost"...I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hesitant on reading this.

And when reading the synopsis/description of your book, including the positive reactions from other readers' comments, during that time, I just knew that I needed to wait for a quiet time to read that particular book. It could explain the reason as to why I keep stalling it for so long. I added it to my library during the pandemic, only for me to start this on Aug 1 and ended it on Aug 3.

Your writing. It made me feel so invested. During the whole journey, I looked forward to every word that is structured so meticulously to give a certain meaning to the sentence. Makes me stop and admire the way it is written more often than I should, hehe. It inspired me to start making plot ideas more personal to me. Even though I don't have a single book finished, let alone published/started.

          Then there's the plot.

I am an empathetic person. I cry to fake deaths on screen, but truly, I have never read a book that changed the way I view things. We got to see most of their story through her point of view, so it feels even more personal. However, the fact that it's a problem that's more attainable and inevitable, brings me back to reality.

@maybe_weird You’ll definitely love the author’s other works too! I’m an old reader and while I’ve loved their other stories, Almost Home is something else for me. It just hits differently and will always be my favourite of theirs.♡

I know you may not be as active as you were before. Things happen in life because of the situations we end up in, because of the decisions we choose to make to respond to it. Consequences will follow. Good or bad, who knows.

But I do hope you see this message of mine. So that you'll know, that even if things don't seem to happen the way you want it to be, at some point, somewhere in this world, a person has changed, for good. For better.

I hope things in your life goes well for you. Whatever that may be. Just know, that you carry stories. Whether you write them down or not, it's only up for you to decide. As long as you have a story, to tell or to keep to yourself, then, at least to me, you're living for something.

            Stay strong, be brave.

Thank you for making such a beautiful book. I'll read your other works.
