How has it already been a year since my last announcement!?
          
          The past twelve months have been eventful, but when I had free time, I was hard at work revising The Men Next Door. And now, I’m very excited to share that a new and improved version of the story is live!
          
          In this updated version, I:
          ☆ Added four new chapters (along with some new characters)
          ☆ Dove deeper into main character backstories
          ☆ Simplified side character subplots
          ☆ Highlighted Luca’s challenges with ADHD
          ☆ Removed some nicknames (sorry, JoJo, you’re just Grandpa now) 
          ☆ Standardized formatting
          ☆ Revamped chapter and scene transitions
          ☆ Renamed Ben to Noah (because I work with a Ben and couldn’t take him seriously while I was editing lol) 
          ☆ And even more! 
          
          If you’re currently reading the story, don’t worry—all the main details stayed the same. However, the chapter numbers are a bit different, so let me know if you get lost or have questions. You can comment in the story, reply to this announcement, or reach out to me on IG (@wihowrites) at any time.

It’s a 50k kind of day :’)
          
          This time last year, I had less than 3k reads, and that felt like a huge milestone to cross. So did 1k, and 500, and even just 50. 
          
          No matter how big the number gets, it always feels so special to know that these characters have resonated with someone other than me and my daydreaming brain.

          My inner Campbell has The Bolter on repeat, and I Look in People’s Windows is my top song on the first listen… but there were a lot of close calls. Like, 31 (!!!) of them.

          I just published Ch 45, along with a Final Author's Note, which means The Men Next Door is officially ✨ complete ✨
          
          If you've been here since the beginning, I'm not sure whether to say 'thank you' or 'sorry' hahaha. This was the first novel-length story I've ever written, clocking in at around 100k words, and I've learned a lot along the way.
          
          Like... a lot.
          
          And I'm very grateful I got to do it with you by my side.
          
          I have plenty of other characters living in my mind, so I might be back as a writer in the future. But for now, I'm excited to bundle up and become a reader again.
