The election of my city's legislative council is approaching. This year, we have a guy saying he will push for a subway station in a neighbourhood that already has one, and another pushing for a hospital in a district that also... has one. Great fucking job, idiots. And no, they aren't saying the existing facilities are not enough or anything, just that the area lacked one and they, as a humble servant for the emperor and state, will push for one to be constructed.

'Today's council, no longer have an opposition. To the government, passing a law, would be easy as flipping their hands. Let history remembers me, according to the questionnaire conducted among the medical field, casting in opposition.' damn guy.

He was the only one voting in opposition.

So apparently stockpiling and distributing supplies - those that visitors are allowed to give to inmates - to folks going to visit their family in jail is an act that threatens national security

And now that organisation shuts itself down. They didn't say it outright, but well... 'the most important thing are that people are fine and alive' is how they say it

So they are now prosecuting a fund that aims at providing legal and medical assistance to the arrested in the... Unrest last year

windoverwaves

Prosecuting them with violating the national security law, which could result in lifetime imprisonment. Yes, that's good

Yesterday marked the last publication of the Apple Daily, a local, outspoken newspaper that constantly criticise the government. Folks were lining up to buy the last issue at midnight. The price had reached 15 hkd by day's end. Normally they cost several dollars.
So that's it, forced low by the government, a newspaper silenced

So, right, today's father's day, we planned on going out and eat at some Japanese place, called ahead to reserve a table but was told the booking were full and only walk-ins are available at the NORMAL, SENSIBLE lunch time of around 1200 to 1300. The place opens at 1130. At 1045, my mother walked into my room, and asked, 'You know what time it is?'
          I answered, 'Almost eleven'
She then asked, 'You know what time that restaurant opens?'
          'Eleven thirty.' I answered.
'Why didn't you notice the time? Why aren't you getting readied to go down and find a seat?' (that restaurant is in the mall right next to my apartment building, it takes all three minutes to get there.)
To which I answered, 'Why do I need to do that this early?' (Mind you, that restaurant isn't popular to the point of having folks queuing up before it opened.)
'You don't know the booking will be full either.' Is her answer.
Alright then, I nodded along and got charged to stand around the place.
at 1110-ish, she called me and immediately barked at me, 'Why do you go down so early?'
And I started to explain, telling her she told me to do that before she rebuked she had done nothing of the sort, insisted on it and I got frustrated and it shows in my voice, so she immediately goes 'Oh I don't want to eat there anymore, get back here.'
Back home, she told me 'No, I was not scolding you for going down so early, I'm feeling SORRY for you, going down so early! What I said before you went down is me telling you to BE AWARE OF THE TIME, not immediately change and go down!'
HOW THE FUCK WAS I SUPPOSED TO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT AS 'WHY ARE YOU STLL HERE GET DOWN THERE IMMEDIATELY.'?

This is random but do you remember the name of the book with zombies, the main character is a night stalker and it’s the apocalypse. I forgot to save it to my reading list because I came to your page after you commented about writing your own book and I wanted to check it out
