          i hope you’re doing well! was literally thinking of you sm the past few months and realised i don’t have your insta anymore because i deleted my main one :(

it's been a while... how is everyone?

Hi all!
          It’s been a minute hasn’t it? I always say “until next time” at the end of every message but I can’t seem to solidify my resolve to keep writing. I recently broke up with a guy that meant a lot to me because we simply weren’t compatible and the distance made things too difficult. Thinking back now, I think I might’ve lost what we once had because of and even though we’re friends... I still find myself caring about him more than myself. Is that normal? Regardless... I just want the best for him and for him to stay focused on his future. I wonder if he’ll see this... and if he still retains happy memories or us or that’s just a facade he presents.
          So even though it’s been a while, I just want to let y’all know that it’s okay to want to let go and it’s okay to accept that something wasn’t meant to be. I’m working through it and I’m sure he is as well.

I think I'm falling... faster than I ever have... But all I can hope is that he won't hurt me the way I've been hurt before.
          It seems I'm approaching the endgame... but am I really ready to say checkmate yet? To admit defeat, and accept loss... accept that he means as much as the world to me. Checkmate means there's no turning back... it means the game has finally ended and one side has won.
