I think if you read the free chapters, then that, plus the opening of the second book, gives you the info you’d need to be able to follow and enjoy the second one.
            
            If you do decide to read it though, and it’s too difficult to follow, I would love to have that feedback! It’d be really helpful in making it a stronger stand-alone piece.
