no question is dumb, my love! the reason leur was stuck in exile was because she made a blood bargain with her father that essentially banned her from the nc (the story is that her dad found out her and az were mates and so he exiled her so she couldn’t act on it/no one would find out she was mated to a bastard- if that’s what actually happened remains to be seen). anyway, because it’s a blood bargain, it didn’t end when her father died- it just passed down to rhys. in the first chapter, when the king thinks he’s breaking the mating bond between rhys and feyre (or the bargain like in canon)- tamlin shields feyre and makes it so that it’s actually the blood bargain that the cauldron breaks. and thus- leur can come home. so no, the king actually had nothing to do w her exile. let me know if that makes sense! 

I read this first half with the lore so long ago it feels, so I have a dumb question. I get she was alive in Solerea and then had troops outside, and couldn’t have a spy in velaris (however u spell it) bc it would be too obvious someone was out of place etc etc. but is the reason she couldn’t just go back and return to there/night court because of the king of Hybern? Like she was alive and knew abt everyone else kind of, but she couldn’t just go back, and I GET that, but is the king the reason? I know this is def answered earlier, I just don’t have the time to read through it again lol and was wondering today when I was thinking about the latest chapter. Love this whole thing so far and center my whole day around reading the newest chapter when there’s updates. 

@wmheart_3012 omg of course! Keep doing what you’re doing! It’s hard to find a good story, especially one that is original, but ALSO so well written. Your passion for writing is clear, and it makes your work so enjoyable!

God I could read a single chapter of this book  for like five hours ! I genuinely get so excited every time this is updated! And I’m also a COMMITTED “book I’m abt to read has to be long and completed” type of person, so this means a lot coming from me lol I never even touch books that are not done for some reason  

@RachelRamirez940 there’s a few different reasons for it! mainly, i wanted solarea to be more present in the story from the beginning and i wanted to properly tell the past storylines (leur’s time in hybern, everything that happened in solarea, etc.) without having to skip over major plot points for the sake of making it all fit. you’ll see what i mean when we start getting there! 

@wmheart_3012 oh ok that’s completely fine but I am curious is why would the rewrite version of the first book will be split into two books  .bc i noticed that everything that was introduced way later in the book was mentioned in the first few chapters like Solerea (i think I spelled that wrong lol) tho if u can’t answer without spoiling I’ll understand 

i also hold my work to a higher standard now than before. i like for everything to be extremely intentional, down to the word choice- so it’s a little slower of a process!
