conan the mighty pig puts into perspective our own mortality. a frail little pig perseveres through a harsh unforgiving world, like our own, and shows us just how mighty he is. this game serves as a metaphor for our own existence in the universe. much like conan, we go about our daily lives in search of truffles, and much like in the wolves in the game, malicious people come along in our lives to steal our truffles. i am going to be honest, the world in the game itself does not have much to offer other than some obstacles, but that just goes on to prove the meaning of the game all the more. conan, in search of his lost love, goes on this incredible journey, providing him with meaning and purpose. we, just like conan, are constantly searching for our true purpose and meaning in life. in the end, those of us lucky enough will find that purpose, but those who aren't as fortunate may not. but whether or not we find that purpose, does it truly matter? in the grand scheme of things, do we matter? our planet is nothing but a grain of sand in the desert that is the universe. and us, as a whole are wholly insignificant. whether or not we have lived simply does not make a difference; no matter how famous or accomplished you may be, in the many billions of years, the universe will live on, but who we are and what we have done will be effaced. the universe is infinitely large, and we are infinitesimally small. but when i play this game and look at conan, I know deep down he knows this fact better any of us. i see it in those dark abysses of eyes that he possesses. despite knowing all of this, he still chooses to go on collecting truffles and chooses the path of turmoil and suffering. conan is truly mighty.
