I'm working on my own fanfic, it's like a Dead by Daylight, hate to love story on my profile and I was curious as writer to writer if you had any tips on maybe writing about keeping the stakes up and creating that tension effect for readers to want to come back for more? Cuz my story feels a little...stale at least to me lol
But still gotta say, you are a great writer! Keep it up, you really got something here!

Thank you! That’s so sweet! honestly, I’m still learning as I go tbh. My books are definitely more “broken character” driven rather than super tense. I’m very into messy people making questionable choices lol… but what I have learned was letting moments breathe! Pauses, hesitations, internal thoughts, awkward moments, all the tiny things make big changes. Readers love wanting something and not getting it immediately! Basically emotional torture…. But in a fun way! sorry if this was more ramble than advice, I hope it helped even a tiny bit! You got this!
