it is important to realize that no matter how dark the shade of your pigment is, you are beautiful. you do not have to be lightskin or mixed in order to fit eurocentric beauty standards to accept yourself. i appreciate the darkness of your melanin. melanin is beautiful. so please, being insensitive or making  jokes about how dark or "black" someone is, it is offensive  and very dehumanizing. just be a little mindful of that.
