OVERVIEW.
                 a newborn girl was left on the doorstep of a witch in the woods, who was believed to have eaten children. but that was not the case, as that witch took in ASTRAYA SILVERTHORNE and raised her as her own.
                 while astraya silverthorne had no magic of her own, she was trained to be a master of war. she used blades not as weapons, but as extensions of herself. while she was not fond of bows, she used them exceptionally well. her mother, for all intents and purposes, was proud of her daughter — of who she had crafted into a weapon of destruction.
                 when astraya turned eighteen, she left the woods — she sought out a life of her own with food in her pack and her blades beneath her cloak. it was only then when astraya realized why her mother wished for her to be able to take care of herself: there was a war outside of those woods, and the witch could not protect the girl forever.
