Aye, quick question… has there ever been a book on here written by a BLACK author that eventually got picked up and adapted into a movie or TV series on platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Tubi, or even released in theaters? I’m genuinely curious!

I am not trying to shade noooo one when I saw this but like besides Dave East & Breezy… y’all don’t use any other male face claims in yall books? Like I get it dem brotha is fine den a mfka… and the stories y’all use for them be tea asf…. But like it gets to a point lmaooo… idk maybe I gotta find more books to expand my Male face claims horizon tbr cause those men are all over my wp

The way this route is going… I think ima have to step back from writing anything chris related… like he’s just so ewwww which irritates me to the core…

          After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to temporarily remove my books from Wattpad. This isn’t goodbye—it’s simply me taking a step back so I can properly plan my series, trilogies, and story universe the way I’ve always envisioned it.
          
          I don’t have a specific return date, but when I do come back, I plan to come back strong. Think of it like Beyoncé dropping her self titled fifth album unexpectedly—when it’s time, you’ll get everything I’ve been working on.
          
          I hope you all understand and continue to support me during this journey. Thank you for every read, vote, comment, recommendation, and encouraging message you’ve given me so far. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.
          
          And before I go, please remember to be kind to writers. Whether they’re established authors or just getting started, every story represents hours of dedication, creativity, and courage. Showing patience, gratitude, and support can make all the difference for an author who’s still finding their way.

          I wanted to share this message here too for those who may not have seen it on my story.
          
          Please understand this when it comes to authors, writers, editors, and graphic designers on Wattpad: we are human beings. We’re not AI, machines, or content factories. We have lives outside of this app. We have responsibilities, opportunities, families, emotions, and personal struggles just like everyone else.
          
          The support, love, reads, votes, and comments are always appreciated, and I know many authors would agree with me on that. But it becomes frustrating when we’re constantly being hassled for updates while everything else we share gets ignored. After a while, it starts to feel like some readers only care about the book and not the person behind it.
          
          Wattpad doesn’t pay most of us for the countless hours we spend writing, editing, designing, and promoting our stories. We do this because we love it and because we love sharing our work with readers. However, that doesn’t mean we’re obligated to sacrifice our peace for anyone.
          
          At the end of the day, authors will always choose to protect their mental health, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
          
          Because of that, I fully support @773_amora decision to remove her books from Wattpad and step away for her own peace of mind. This app will always be here, but it’s the writers who dedicate their time, creativity, and energy that make these stories possible in the first place.
          
          People want to read, and we want to write. But when I see talented authors stepping away because their boundaries aren’t being respected, it’s disappointing.
          
          Please remember: support your favorite authors, but respect them too.
