People weren't kidding about the difficulty of gaining a readership on Wattpad. (TBF, I've done very little to advertise it here, and I had already established my core readership on other platforms.)

@Darious891 It’s funny, but my average chapter length did fall a bit over time as I gained more writing experience and refined my style. My average is just above 3k words.

@writerwolf359 Where yours is refreshing, and if I am being honest yours is also written in a novel form which is also nice to see on this platform. I do feel again many Authors go for a more shortened chapter model as it makes each one a little more digestible for people with lower attention spans. Some take it too far too where at chapter is just one paragraph xD

@writerwolf359 Main stream stories have their place but I feel at this point too many of them are too "safe". What I mean by that is they all use the same formula because for the last 20 to 30 years it has worked and worked well. Romance is one of the most lucrative gene but they are all too much the same now. Same story just with different names. Cliché is what I am trying to say I guess.

Sorry to hear about the life troubles Wolf. I subbed to the Foundry so I do hope that helps, and just keep your chin up. Life is a roller coaster of ups and downs, your just on a down but soon you and your family will have some ups.

@writerwolf359 My mother was the same, one our our cats (her baby of course) was mauled by a mountain lion and have to have extensive reconstructive surgery that was very expensive. I really love animals but idk if I could have done it. But it was her baby so nothing was too expensive. Personally as a animal biologist and conservationist, I would probably had put her down because of how much in pain she must have been in. He whole back half her body was torn almost inside out. Was brutal, not really sure how she managed to get away tbh.

@Darious891 Thanks for your message! Luckily, our cat is doing better; he's just a very expensive kitty.
