@smokable and I'm not saying that you shouldn't criticize them at all, because everyone gets to express their opinion, but an opinion is different than a blind hatred of an entire country. If you're going to criticize it, you should criticize something specific instead of saying that the whole country is horrible. Like, I don't know where you're from, but I'm sure your country has done a lot of shitty things before. So do you hate your country? I live in America and I'm taking American history and idk if you're from America too, but if you are, you'll know that we've done some pretty fucked up stuff. Dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, denying women and African-Americans their rights for such a long time, killing millions of Native Americans, etc. I could go on for a really long time, but just because America's done a lot of bad things doesn't mean the entire country is bad. So unless you can name something you dislike about every single facet of the country (the people, the government, the government programs, the people, the culture, etc), I don't think it's fair for you to stats that you hate it

so you justify the killing of newborn babies, torturing of teenage boys, raping of women and girls under the age of 10, and starving innocent children in palestine as self defence? okay then.

also i live in australia. and im not talking about my country, im talking about what theyre doing to muslims in ither countries, like palestine and burma.

@smokable look i'm not justifying it at all; I freely admit that Israel has committed some horrible acts of violence against Palestinians. However, you make it seem as if Israelis are out looking for conflict, and attacking innocent people for no reason, when really, there's a lot more to it.
            http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/nov/18/israel-palestinian-violence-timeline
As this article shows, both sides are responsible for atrocities that usually harm innocent people. It's not a simple conflict, there is no right or wrong, and both parties have done both bad and good things.
I just did a shit ton of research because I hate trying to explain/defend things I don't fully understand, and I never claimed to be an expert, so I was trying to get my facts straight before I presented my argument. Honestly, the research wasn't all that helpful. It is virtually impossible to find any sort of completely neutral/non-biased recount of what's gone on. However, what I could ascertain is that there is no clear victim and no clear bully. As I said before, both Israel and Palestine have a lot of blood on their hands. I understand that as I have a tendency to side with Israel, you have a tendency to side with Palestinians. That doesn't make us enemies, that doesn't mean we have to be hostile to each other. When I replied to your original post, I honestly wasn't trying to anger you, I just wanted you to understand that there's more to it than some innocent Palestinians being killed. I have no problem with your sympathies lying with Palestine, I just wish your view on things would be slightly less biased and that you would take the time to admit and realize that neither side has been unscathed throughout this conflict. So many people have died: soldiers, civilians, babies, etc. But no matter what side they were on, they were still people's sons or daughters, wives or husbands, mothers or fathers. Neither side is fully innocent, and neither side is fully guilty.

@smokable ok look I'm not claiming that Israel is prefect because it's not even close, but it's not really fair to hate it. Both parties involved in the conflict have done horrible things, and while Israel may have killed many people, they were just trying to protect themselves. It's an insanely difficult and complicated situation, and it's really ignorant to write off an entire country, especially when you don't even know that much about it.
