I am an educational researcher who thinks about young people's making, composing and social media practices. I am curious about the connections between how young people read and write outside of school (online/offline) and their relationships in academic spaces like school. I also want to reimagine schools to be more connected to youth's interests and ways of participating. 

I was also once an avid reader of non-fiction literature and a creative writer. My favorite novel is Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I want to find my non-academic writerly self again and hope that being part of this community will help me get there. 

Other things I love: cooking, baking, dancing, coffeeshops, finding new spots to eat, drawing, and people watching - especially at busy intersections - where life happens.
