My friend just pointed out that Ultramarine feels like the backstory to Tidal Bodies, and now I can't unsee it. I didn't even realize what I was doing while writing it.
Maybe Ultramarine is just my attempt to give Lily and Ash the happy ending they deserve..

Chapter 4! I hope you enjoy this one. It's a little different from the previous chapters, both in perspective and pace.
There's something I've always loved about quiet beginnings. The ordinary moments before everything changes. The first glance, the first conversation, the first thread of a story pulling two lives together.
For those of you who have read Tidal Bodies probably already know how much I adore stories built on longing, connection, and all the feelings that exist in the space between people. This chapter carries a little of that.
