ngl sometimes the writers block has me checking wp to see if my own stories somehow updated

shall i write lost destinies chapter 2 or 7S chapter 9 next

I spent two years in a small town one time and now I'm writing small towns as if I'm an expert... why are they such a vibe as a setting though. I am personally partial to lame shitty small towns but lovely picturesque small towns are also top tier story locations 

@cxpidsbows girl be so fr whose alt is this LMAOOO. The applyfic community is very accessible, nobody is claiming to be the gold standard of writing here, there's not a barrier to entry. This is wattpad, not exactly the pinnacle of quality. Everybody else is here to write for fun in their free time and some people have to come in and ruin it by commercializing it with AI. If you bring AI into a space that is not monetized, YOU are the one making it about standards. Nobody else cares that much about whether our applyfic forms are going to be a new York times bestseller. The fact that anyone feels the need to resort to ai to "belong" here just means they need to go to therapy. Don't project your insecurity on the rest of us brother.

I don't typically post much about politics here, but this is a site that's supposed to be dedicated to making literary material available for free. to anyone living in Florida, PLEASE be aware of HB-1119, SB-1692, and HB-31! if these bills are voted in, we will be waist-deep into the book banning and censorship that we are already knee-deep in. 
          
          for those of us who don't live in Tallahassee, there's not much we can do besides call or email our state senator and representatives, but we seriously cannot keep sitting on our asses while our state continues to become increasingly authoritarian. the censorship is in our children's education for a REASON. that is the future voter base, our future lawmakers, lawyers, educators, our future president. cracking down on early education is not a new move in the fascist playbook. 
          
          i'm going to say this as a floridian and a Christian: if you think banning books from local school libraries doesn't count as censorship, not only are you definitionally incorrect, you're also classist. if you think it must only be reasonably inappropriate books being banned from schools, look them up, there's thousands. if you think this is okay so long as religious texts are provided to children, think again. what you personally define as inappropriate is not the same as someone else's, and you should not have control over what someone else's child reads. one day they're going to ban the books you approve of, too, and you're going to wish you stood up for the people you disagree with.
