I'm actually not that interesting, really. And I'm not saying that to be humble, because I'm not.
I'm the classic nerd - straight As, no-name brands, glasses, and one friend. I spend half of my time reading and writing about people whose lives are more interesting than mine, and the other half watching these people on a screen. My personality is a bit hard to describe, since 70% of the people I know think I'm mute, 29% can't get me to shut up, and the other 1% doesn't know I exist.
Yet.
(He'll notice me soon, though, just wait.)
Most of my stories are based on true events. I couldn't resist, really. My family is so jacked up, it was like a sign from God. Every now and again I visit them to get new material.
Character development is king. (Or queen, whatever.) Just saying.
I'm black, and female, and Caribbean, and my stories will reflect that. I write stories with diversity, because it's the 21st century, goddammit, so why not?
I'm still trying to find my place as an author, so I thought I'd start here. Maybe now I can figure out if I'm any good.
