"Among the number of things I've heard about myself, the one that always comes back the most is that I'm conceited. This is where people need to understand the difference between cocky and confident. Year after year, I've had so many people make fun of how I look. I've had every single thing about me & my appearance chirped. But I've learned to move past what others will say, and actually focus on finally being able to find confidence. If people constantly tore you down & made you feel ugly, wouldn't you be proud when the day comes that you can look in the mirror and be pleased? If you struggled with your weight for a number of years, wouldn't you be happy when you finally like the shape of your body? I'm aware of my flaws, but I've grown to like them. If you don't like the way I look, then don't look at me. I'm happy with my appearance. I'm confident, and I've never felt better. If you have such a big issue with that, maybe you need to sit down and consider doing things that have purpose, because the only thing you make me feel is bad for you. I'm able to ignore the ones who make fun of me, because why would I ever give them the satisfaction of taking all the self esteem I've been working on for the past couple years and destroying it. You want to take that as being "cocky", then so be it, but at least I'm not the one who's so insecure about their self that they need to chirp how others look to make them feel better. That makes you uglier than what I could ever be."
