"Oh, I'm so relieved... My husband usually doesn't come when I call him, but perhaps my son - our son - being in danger has dragged him out of his place. See, he's aiming to be the next big Pro, sort of like Endeavour was in your mother's and my generation, though I doubt he wants to overtake your father. For once, he's giving himself restraint, and knows that his abilities aren't on par with Deku's. We'll have them both here soon, and maybe I could make it up to your mother afterwards... I apologise if this is awkward for you, Young Hoshi, being caught up in my past with your mother and petty arguments... I will try to keep quiet about it, from now on. I'm rather used to talking and explaining things a lot, as a teacher, so rambling is one of the easiest ways I cope with stressful situations and all of that... We must hide and wait for our... reinforcements, though, because I highly doubt we will be unharmed if we charge in and fight while we wait. You can show me what you are capable of, and I will put in a good word with your homeroom teacher..."
She smiled a little bit at the girl, taking her hand gently and winding through shady spots and dirty back alleys until she was satisfied they were hidden enough.
"Now, we wait."
She muttered, exhaling shakily. Clearly, the woman was doubting herself, and that was no comfort at all considering the amount of danger the two had inevitably placed themselves in. She crouched, gently pulling Hoshi down with her, and encased them both in a shield.
