After all, I tried posting as I wrote this one, and that didn't turn out too well, with the long pauses when life got busy. His arm tightened around her. “I am, too.” He sighed into the darkness. “I’m sorry, Sam. It was never supposed to be like this.” He sighed. “Just… try to get some sleep. Maybe tomorrow…”
“Zayne… you’re not going to try to sneak off on me while I’m sleeping, are you?”
“No, Sam. I’m done sneaking out in the middle of the night.” He froze as headlights slowly traced across the room, muted by the curtains.

Sorry for the delay in chapters. We had a big family reunion last weekend, and then I went and forgot my laptop at my parents' house when I left. No new writing until I retrieve it!
