A little brown rabbit lives in the wood behind my house. Late in the afternoon he hops out from the wood line and eats from the lettuce patch I planted. I watch him from the kitchen window. Early today the heat forced him from the wood . What a treat to see him stretched on his belly in the cool green grass, then later to watch as he washed his face and ears. It made me remember a story I read to my gran children about a soft brown bunny who would dip himself in bowls of color. He was blue, then yellow, then red, then purple. In the end though he decided to wash off all the colors and be the soft brown bunny who he was. There's a lesson there. We don't have to be the brightest color in the box to "shine." Remember !
