I miss writing Secret Land! I'm hoping to continue with other works I've started..

PSA that I'm going to be continuing Blind Forgiveness; a tale of an anorexic boy & his struggle with confronting life after death.. This will be a SpaMano fanfic, with GerMano early on. Y'all haven't seemed too interested in it, but I'm gonna continue anyways lmao.

Hi guys. It's winter, which means that my seasonal depression is really kicking in- which means that i am ready to involve myself into the APH fandom for the remainder of the season- or at least for the remainder of my unbearable psychological aching.
That being said, I've really been vibing with some controversial subjects lately. I think I would like to make a short SpaMano fic that addresses domestic abuse- but not in a way that neither romanticizes it nor shows story-telling biases solely for the purpose of raising awareness.
I want to write something very painful & raw that more accurately shows the experiences one might encounter if they've been in a position of domestic abuse and/or stockholm syndrome.

Ive run low on motivational buckets, so if you could send me a message & let me know what you think of this idea, that'd be super great.

A considerably important message to all my SpaMano readers- I write SpaMano fanfictions, more or less. When I write, I don't write to be canon. When I write, I'm writing my own Lovino, not Himaruya's Romano. When I write, I'm writing my own Antonio, not Himaruya's Spain. The same thing applies to the other characters. With my stories, I don't want you to automatically associate every character with everything you've seen in the show or manga. I want to break down your minds and break down the characters, I want you to get involved with the story rather than just skim through the chapters in search of a cute moment for your OTP of characters that Himaruya created. I want to revolutionize the way you read fanfictions. To make it more about the story rather than the people. Using these characters from the fandom is only a way to help you understand certain situations and contexts by exampling them with characters you know and care for. By writing these stories, I don't write to vlog their canon characters, I write to tell a variety of stories I was inspired by. Lovino and Antonio are only the actors, narrators, etc. From here, I'd like to recommend to you all the absolutely most amazing SpaMano fanfic writer that I know. On fanfiction.net, her user is @2degreesabovefreezing . Her stories are each written so differently and magnificently, each unique in its own every way. There are short fanfics, long, sci-fi, fantasy, futuristic, dystopian, realistic, mental disorders, the music industry, her collection is absolutely fantastic. Please check her out. My favorites are "The Daisy Genocide" and "HOVA", followed by "The Blog Fairy".
(Bonus- if you DO check her out and ever decide to leave a review- please tell her that Cat recommended you! Thanks guys, that's all!)

I can't explain to you all how anxious I get thinking of Secret Land and it's readers.
"Where am I going with this plot?"
          "Is every-other-week not enough?"
"My chapters are short, but there's a lot more plot I need to fill in. If I upload too many chapters, will that appear intimidating to possible future readers?"
          "Is my writing style boring?"
"What do my readers want to read?"
"Do I have enough time and energy to write the next chapters?"
"HOW AM I GOING TO PLOT?"
But overall, this story means a lot to me, and simply writing it within itself and knowing I have a supporting audience is like my own little "secret land".
          Again, thank you all!!

Thanks for the handy-dandy information! I tend to write my chapters at night, specifically starting around 8pm and ending around 10pm. Being in a dark house with little noise just makes it easier to "get in the zone", y'know? I've already written and revised the entire plot multiple times; I don't want to make the story predictable but I'm also not a fan of plot twists. I try to make everything happen for a specific reasoning- heck, I have essays about the little things I may not cover or explain in the story! Calling it "mysterious", though, that's new! I'm glad I was able to shade that tone into my writing. I like to "write like a cello". Charming and low-key in it's own way, yet there's room for anticipation! That's what I try to make it, at least. Am I making any sense?
Also, about the chapters, most people have a set-limit on what they're willing to read. For example, if I see something has more than 35 chapters I'll be weary on whether or not I should give it a shot. In the long run, it all goes down to the description.
Anyways, thanks a bunch for replying!! I cannot emphasize in human words how much any simple engagement with my readers help inspire me to write!
