So what each character is:
Clove, Aisha, Mia, Laurence, and Des all are human without physical flaws- otherwise known as ‘perfects’.
Kasin (aka ‘Kitten’ As Des calls him) is a Kitsune (nine tailed fox)
Jasmine (‘Jas’ ‘Puppeteer’) is undead and has the ability of ‘mind/body control’
Amelia (‘Wolfie’ ‘Fangs’ ‘Pup’) is a werewolf
Samantha (‘Sam’ ‘Sammy’ ‘Cotton-Tail’ ‘Lil’ rabbit’) is human but because her eyes are two colors she’s seen as ‘imperfect’
Banshee (no nicknames) is mainly human but with the exception of the 1/16 demon in her blood
Amber J. (No nicknames) is descended from sirens- she looks human but can voice-mimic and hypnotize people with her voice
Famine (‘little ‘mine’) desendent of a demon but has some fallen angel (mix of angel and demon) blood so she has small angel wings- middle child

Shattered Glass
          Chapter 1
          The Past Mistakes

The day was like any other autumn day. The air was cool and crisp, the leaves beautiful arrays of crimson, orange, and citrine. But, unlike other days, a law was passed, one that separated people by how they looked or acted.
First it was the ones who weren’t human that were forced to wear masks, then it became nonhumans and people with mental disabilities. Soon it was normal to have those whose facial features are damaged or ‘different’ in any way, have to wear masks too, along side the nonhumans and mentally ‘ill’ people. Later on, if a person had powers they’d be forced to wear a mask that fit with their power.
Years later the people who were forced to wear masks got a name ‘Imperfects’. It was done out of spite and to argue with the people who now control them would be fatal.
But that isn’t when our story starts. Just a few decades later on the east coast of the U.S. in Columbia, Virginia... Two sisters are near the border of the two communities.

Amber walked around a bit, as she did she saw someone spray painting a wall where everyone could see. As she was trying to move closer to see what the person was painting, Dixie started barking, causing the spray painter to drop their paint and look over at Amber. The ‘tagger’ had a hood on, but her horns stuck out from under it, her red-orange hair a stark contrast with her black hoodie. She also didn’t have a mask on; her eyes looked super cool in Amber’s opinion, the demon’s scleras were black and she had two different eye colors, one grey and the other blue.
“Your dog gave me a fright! I thought the Po.Po. was after me again, detention hall is the worst.” The tagger dropped down from where she was standing to reach a higher area of the wall, her worn boots looking like they were ready to break. “Name’s Famine by the by.” The demon held out her hand for Amber to shake. Amber took the demon’s hand. “Aren’t the cops gonna get you for the new.. art piece?” Famine laughed a tiny bit at what Amber said. “The Po.Po. don’t really care what I do, just what my ‘art’ is about.”

Shattered Glass
            Chapter Four
            Songs for Memories
Amber Jackstirn, a kind-hearted person who helped where she could was walking around near her school. “Here Dixie, here Dixie.” Amber patted her legs as a stray German Shepard ran to her, licking her face. “Who’s a good boy? You are! Yes you are a good boy!” The voice-changer scratched her dog’s neck with her long nails. A couple cops walked by but payed no attention to her. Even though her dad never liked her having Dixie and told her strictly that she wasn’t allowed to bring him near the house when she fed him, she did so anyways.

The new girl, Banshee sat at the table marveling at how calm Amelia was in the face of two Perfects. “How did you stay so calm when they drew their guns? Most my family would start getting spells ready to fire back.” Amelia shrugged. “Maybe cause I know a perfect personally.” Amelia looked over at Des and saw him shift uncomfortably. “Anyway, are you hungry? I bet using magic makes you really hungry.” Amelia looked through the fridge, scanning over what she could cook. “I’d like a hash brown if you don’t mind.” Amelia smiled. “I don’t mind at all, if you’d like you can stay the night.”
Samantha got her normal clothing on, a blue shirt and grey pants with an off-white hoodie over it. “Cops come by regularly. We just give them their space when they do come by.” Des was talking with Banshee. “Oh hey rabbit mask, what’s your name?” Banshee smiled sweetly at Samantha. “I g-go by Sammy.” If Samantha had animal ears they would be down at the moment. “Sorry, I just noticed your second mask, which looks awesome by the way, where’d you get it?” Sam was on the brink of tears. Amelia shot in from the kitchen. “It was a gift from our parents before—.” Their parent’s death always triggered bad memories for them, Amelia most of all. “Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, if I may, when did they pass?” Jasmine went to her little sister’s side talking in soothing tones. “Two years after I was born.” Samantha said, her eyes searching Kasin’s face for confirmation. “They died in a car crash when Sam was four actually.” Jasmine hugged a crying Amelia.
