Dropping 10+ Chapters of Zenless on Christmas

xdRemix

Bro, the difference in chapters I’ve wrote despite giving both series the same amount of time is wild.

Zenless has a whopping 18 and counting rn and I haven’t even finished writing the second story chapter, so this is looking like the next Arknights in terms of chapter quantity.

BA will have to get a second month later on because I noticed something I wasn’t feeling anymore when writing it.

          Just know there a 13 chapter difference…

Very odd development with the two stories. Zenless has reawakened the love of slice of life that for some reason, Blue Archive simply doesn’t have in the first chapter where I’m at. So uh, expect a way wider ratio of which one comes out more.

Zenless is just too perfect a balance of battle and casual, while Blue Archive feels like I’m kinda forcing it in a bit more than I’d like for such a great series. Both are still getting new chapters, but you will see very clear bias growing.

Getting into the swing of alternating Zenless and Blue Archive, but at this rate, both will only have up until their respective chapter 1’s end. That’s good for Blue Archive, but Zenless not so much since I’m a fair bit behind.

@SimpusMogus I feel like I’ve set up decent plot deviations for both, so I hope they’re interesting reads.

@xdRemix I'm looking forward to getting into ZZZ, I've already tried Blue Archive once. Maybe I'll go read your story after playing it for a bit

Just wanted to drop by and say how great of a writer you are. I find it sad how you aren't as recognized though. I like your art, your way with words, everything.

It's infuriating to think that gems like you are hidden so deep beneath the soil, whereas others with inferior skills are dug up and praised for their work. Where were you when I was having trouble finding Nikke stories to read a month ago? No matter how hard I searched, Wattpad just didn't show me your story. I only found out a bit ago and started reading it, realizing how great you were.

To think you've been writing for four years now is really inspiring. I just wanted to ask: How do you deal with motivation/burn out? How do you deal with the feeling that you're not doing enough?

Sorry if I ranted a lot, I was just having a problem.

@SimpusMogus if diverting your attention doesn’t work for burnout, then what I’ve tried when my attention wants to be focused on that one things is changing my perspective. Falling is one way to learn. There’s a lot of books on my page I’m not proud of, wish I could go back and do differently, or wish I did not do at all. But regardless it got me to this point because I kept writing anyway. I don’t regret writing them, simply because I know without them I wouldn’t be where I am.

@xdRemix Was quite a while until I got to read this, since you didn't tag me. But I am very glad I was able to make you feel something. As for your motivation, I can totally understand it. I honestly find myself always adding something on top of the source material every time I view something. I just can't help it.

For Nikke, there are lots of factors to go over. Story, Characters, Pacing, Events, Romance, Relationships, but there was always an odd one out.

The MC felt lifeless. I mean, there is a supposed backstory, but unraveling it takes ages. I don't know how much of it Shift Up has planned, but it's infuriating me how the plot only progresses with the introduction of new characters.

... Solely the reason I prioritized MC development and backstory recognition in my book...

Your way of dealing with burn out basically sums up everything I've heard about dealing with it. Just do something else is what everyone tells me.

Though, I just can't help it. I need to write something, be it a book, oneshot, or a story outside of my peripheral. I just can't keep my pickle in my pants when it comes to writing and creating something.

I can’t describe how happy your words make me. If I had to say, when it comes to motivation I just do these mostly for myself, sort of as a stroke of curiously of how things in their source material could be different with my spin on it. As for burn out, normally diverting my energy and attention elsewhere for a bit normally refreshes me for what I was previously working on.

Thank you so much for reading my story. It really means the world.

I’ve got 5 new blue archive chapters but I have no idea how to express the sheer burnout I got after seeing that there was still 2-3 hours left of Chapter fucking ONE of that game…

Since when did Blue Archive become so fucking plot heavy bro LMAO

I’ll drop what I’ve got in November, these October classes are whooping my ass rn
