— iii. an incubus he was, with one sole purpose: to satiate the needs &. desires of others. to thrill them, to fulfill them—- but was that truly all there was to this life? all he could give? raiden wondered in silence, not daring to speak against the teachings of someone he truly didn't want to upset. &. so he did what he had to do. ( he still does, on occasion. )
— iv. but the incubi life soon drug on for far too long; it'd become routine, and raiden lost his /spark/. it was then, that he ran back to the place he despised the most: the mortal realm. it was there, on that same beach he was buried in, that he met the very love of his life; his name stuck like sugar on his teeth, like old honey from the inside of a jar. they were inseparable, the pair. exploring the world around them with each other in their arms; &. such a bond hasn't been broken still, while they frolick around like the main couple in some cheesy, cliche romance novel. raiden would walk to the ends of the earth for adrian, there was no denying it; it why he was drawn to him like a moth to a flame, his affection stronger than glue. raiden loved him, &. there was nothing better to sum up the words than the actions that followed.
— v. reputable as the two were, trouble would still follow them on every ground their feet touched. but raiden didn't mind. this adrenaline rush, through thick &. thin and obstacles unknown—- he never minded at all, as long as he had his love with him. it was then that the allies he calls his family were formed; when they pursued greater enemies and larger issues than what stood in front of them before. raiden was happy—- to be called a lover, an incubus, a son, a /hero/: but the greatest joy? it was being a misfit. and part of a team, a FAMILY that loved &. appreciated him more than he could ever imagine. that was his happiness, &. raiden never wanted to lose it.
