You know what’s crazy? Hiromi Fujioka was an OC created by Dots832 back in 2012 on Quizilla in a Hikaru fanfic (titled “Her Eyes” if you recall). You did a nice twist giving her long hair and pairing her up with another character.
My best advice: Next time take 5 minutes to come up with your own OC. If I was able to create Hiromi at age 13 on a whim, I’m sure you can manage.
And for the record, the /original/ story is being reposted by yours truly.

Hello! So it looks like you drew some conclusions and I just wanted to clear the air. I can see why it seems sus that they both have the same name. I named her Hiromi because it was the only name I could find that both started with an H and flowed well with Haruhi. I think you’d agree the two names sound good together. I found it on a baby name list. Until today I didn’t know about your story or even quizilla.
So real talk here... There’s no need to be passive aggressive with me over some coincidences in our fics. Sometimes two characters have the same name. It doesn’t make them the same person. (And you said they are described different so there’s that). Also, it’s lame to steal and I would never even think about taking someone else’s story or character. Plagiarism isn’t cool. Period.
I hope this eases your mind a bit and I’d consider that you read the story to see that it’s different. I look forward to reading the differences in your story too.
