          FELICITY FAUST always hated the feast of fortuna.
          
          right around the summertime, she felt the thrum of underlying energy surrounding her. reservoirs of her own untapped powers swirled underneath the surface placing an odd pressure in her stomach as something on the horizon of their future bubbled up. felicity wouldn’t use a mundane, mortal term such as psychic, but she ceded that as the child of the goddess of fortune, she might’ve been the closest living thing to it besides an old, greek oracle. she almost found the thought funny, that might’ve been an even more ridiculous than a psychic. the feast of fortuna was meant to be in her mother’s honor to bring good fortune to the legion, but felicity’s mother always used it as some sort of yearly family bonding. she constantly sent her signs, and signals through sacred animals, dreams, constantly haunting her with frightening truths of an unsteady future. slowly, but surely, she had come to loathe the feast of fortuna as tensions rose, and she felt her powers going haywire.
