Food for thought: It's is imperative that we allow our beliefs to include the idea that if we believe so can others. Standing up for women during this time does not exclusively mean that we believe abortions are moral.
It just means that we believe that collectively, we have the right to bodily autonomy. Because if we focus on "I don't believe in abortions" then we are focusing on our individual beliefs and not the best interest of the collective. Allowing the government to choose for us today on this matter opens the door for them to choose for us on any matter tomorrow.
If we do nothing today because it aligns with our beliefs then we really don't hold our beliefs to heart. Currently, the government made into to law that abortions are illegal, but what if global climate change, food shortages and the lack of resources makes the government legalize mandatory abortions to curve the growing population.
Then what? Although many arguments will center around religion, racism, feminism and politics, it's beyond that. Giving up one right is giving up all rights. Remember it's not about our individual beliefs it's about the rights of the collective. We must fight to ensure bodily autonomy.
